Clarification Text on the Protection of Personal Data (KVKK)

This text is provided under Article 10 of the Turkish Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data ("KVKK") to inform you about the processing of your personal data in connection with Plazio.

1. Data controller and processor

• For the personal data of residents of a residential complex, the data controller is the Management Company that operates your complex. Plazio acts as data processor on its behalf.
• For management staff accounts and the technical operation of the Service, Plazio is the data controller.

2. Personal data processed

Identity and contact data (name, phone, e-mail), residence data (apartment, block, resident role), account and access data (invite code, login times), device and notification data (push token, device identifier, platform), and dues (aidat) and community data (payment status, references, notes, documents, photos, announcements, tasks). Bank statement files uploaded by managers for dues reconciliation may contain payment references and amounts.

3. Purposes of processing

To create and operate accounts; to provide complex-management functions (dues, announcements, documents, tasks); to send notifications; to ensure security and prevent abuse; to provide multilingual content; and to fulfil legal obligations.

4. Legal grounds (KVKK Art. 5)

Processing is based on: it being necessary for the performance of a contract; the legitimate interests of the data controller; compliance with a legal obligation; and, where required (e.g. push notifications, certain transfers), your explicit consent.

5. Transfer of personal data (KVKK Arts. 8–9)

Your data may be transferred to our service providers, including push providers (Expo, Google FCM, Apple APNs), the translation provider (DeepL SE, Germany), our e-mail provider and our hosting provider in Germany. Because our servers and some providers are located abroad, your data may be transferred outside Türkiye on the basis of your explicit consent and/or the necessity of performing the contract, under the conditions of KVKK Arts. 8–9.

6. Method of collection

Data is collected electronically through the App, the Panel, and by managers entering or uploading it.

7. Your rights (KVKK Art. 11)

You have the right to learn whether your data is processed, request information, learn the purpose and whether it is used accordingly, know the third parties to whom it is transferred, request correction or deletion, request notification of such actions to third parties, object to results arising from automated analysis, and claim compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing.

You may exercise these rights by contacting [email protected] or, for resident community data, your Management Company. Applications are answered within 30 days under KVKK. You may also complain to the Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK Kurumu).
